Alucore is a lightweight honeycomb panel, of which both core and cover sheets are made of aluminium. Alucore can be processed with a wide variation of techniques: cutting, bending, folding, pressing, jointing, drilling and gluing. Alucore can be recycled easily because it only contains aluminium.

ALUCORE therefore provides a decisive advantage over other types of core panel where very high demands are made on the material for applications such as façade cladding or roofing, e.g. if exposed to extremely high wind load and for large self-supporting panels.

ALUCORE® composite panels of 6, 10 and 10.5 mm thickness can be bent using three and four-roll bending machines with relatively close radii. The viscoplastic composite system enables radii to be produced from 300mm with a panel thickness of 6 mm and from 700 mm with a panel thickness of 10mm. The minimum diameter of the rolls should be 150 mm.
