ALPOLIC™ A2 is a composite panel consisting of two 0.5mm thick aluminium cover sheets with a non-combustible UK: limited-combustible mineral polymer core 3mm. It meets the very high requirements of fire protection class A2 - s1, d0 and is approved by the building authorities. It can be supplied up to a width of 2m, which is unique worldwide.

For example, a product that has achieved a European rating of A2-s3, d2[7] or better in accordance with BS EN 13501-1:2007[8] is ipso facto considered to be of “limited combustibility”, but a product that is rated as “limited combustibility” in accordance with BS 476-11:1982[9] cannot be classified as A2 without also passing the European test.
